Great Yellow Gentian


Natural herb tea, a mix of grappa of Trentino and roots of great yellow gentian. This is a herbaceous perennial plant, growing to 80-120 cm tall that grows in alpine pastures. It has broad opposite green-blue leaves. It blooms between July and August, its flowers are golden-yellow.

Its big fleshy and pronged roots contain intense and very concentrated bitter components that only a very few plants can be compared to. The roots can be also 1 metre long and are harvested at the end of the summer.

It is a protected plant and its harvest is regulated.
